What are Penny Auctions?

Penny Auctions are online merchandise auctions where customers can bid on a item one penny at a time. On most of auction site, there is usually a timer and after an item gets to 20 seconds, everytime you bid the timers goes back up to 20 seconds.

So people bid one penny at a time until someone makes a bid and no one else bids on that item. The last bid wins and the customer that placed that bid gets the item at usually a realy nice discount. This is when you hear about people winning a $100 gift card for like $5.00.

I can already hear you asking this question to yourself...

"How does the Auction Site make money if they are selling the items at these large discounts?"

Usually the Auction sites makes each customer, buy what they call a bid pack. Basically you have to buy your bids but the caveat is that you don’t buy the bids at one penny for a one penny bid. Take Zeekler for example, they have two kinds of bids you can buy.

The first is a Retail Bid and the second is a VIP Bid. The Retail Bids are cheaper than the VIP Bids. So if you wanted to buy their smallest bid pack of 50 Bids, you would have to pay .65c per bid in that bid pack and you would have to pay $1.00 per bid for every VIP bid. So when you bid your penny in the penny auction, the actual dollar value of your bid is .65c.

So if a $100.00 item is sold for $10.00 in Retail Bids, you would have to multiply the 1,000 Bid Pennies by .65c and the company would have made $650.00 on that $100.00 item.

The winning bidder may have bought that item for anywhere between .65c and $10.00 in real actual money and that’s a win/win situation for the company and the winning bidder.

Penny Bid Auctions

Ok, so basically what you need to understand is that when you are on the auction site bidding with pennies, you are in reality bidding with more than a penny. You could be bidding in real dollars anywhere from .25c to $1.00 or more depending on what auction site you are on. 

If you can budget and strategize your bidding, you can cut your wasted bids to as low as possible and out last other bidders to win merchandise at those large discounts.

**My warning for you is to not lose your head and forget that those pennies are not actual dollar value pennies!**

Live Penny Auctions

Online Penny Auctions are live penny auctions, meaning that everything is live and up to the second. Everything is based upon a timer, and when that timer goes to 00:00:00 the last bidder wins. If you run upon an Auction Site that is not live, you need to put up your scam radar and proceed with caution!

Penny Auctions Sites

There are in fact many different penny auction sites out there and you need to understand that there are real legit penny auction sites out there and there are fraudulent fly-by-night operations out there.

I would recommend that you stick to the bigger better known and trusted auctions sites such as Zeekler.com and stay away from the newer and riskier websites, as crooks see the massive profit potential for running scandalous auction sites.

Zeekler Penny Auctions

As you probably have figured out by now, I consider Zeekler.com as my preferred penny auction website for a couple different reasons. One it is a 14 year old United States company out of South Carolina. They are apart of the Better Business Bureau and that can give anyone reassurance that they are on the up and up.

Zeekler is a stickler for compliance under United States law and they take very seriously the sustainability of their company. Frankly, they plan on being around for awhile. Their obsession with compliances gives me the reassurance that they are trustworthy enough for me to spend money with them.
 
A second reason why I prefer Zeekler.com is because they give new customers the chance to play and learn everything about bidding in the auctions. They give away a substantial amount of free retail bids right off the bat when you sign up.  

By the time you would ever buy a bid pack, you would have already learned what everything is all about and may have already won some nice merchandise without ever having spent a single dollar.

The last reason why I prefer Zeekler.com is because they also give their customers the opportunity to partner with them through their Zeekrewards program.  I make money with Zeek Rewards as well was win nice merchandise in the auctions.

Overall, I really like the Zeek Rewards program because they offer you 6 different ways to earn money. Depending on what you are comfortable with and how much you know about advertising and network marketing, you can choose or not choose to do certain aspects of the business.

So for all of you internet marketers looking for a better business to get involved in, Zeek Rewards is now the number 1 network marketing company on the internet!

It is also the fastest growing company on the internet. So this business is the real deal and the company has been around for over a decade so it is stable and set up to succeed.

I also like the fact that Zeek Rewards is very focused on compliance and has hired the biggest attorneys in the world to make sure that they are compliant with all rules and regulations so that they are not subject to going under from a legal standpoint.

That’s stability ladies and gentlemen and they require all their members to adhere to the same standards.

Now, for all of you that are not network marketers and do not want to be involved in network marketing, Zeek Rewards has an awesome Retail Profit Sharing program where all you have to do is post an ad everyday and you get a percentage of that day’s sales.

The company takes up to 50% of each day’s sales and shares it with all its qualifying members.

Now I am not going to go into the ins and outs of this as there is a video you can watch that will explain in detail but you don’t ever have to talk to another person or get them into the business in order to make money.

You can make a full time living just by posting an ad that takes less than 5 minutes to post and your get paid!

They also have 4 other income sources that you can choose to do but their Retail Profit Sharing is the most exciting part of their program to me and then if you bring in new members, you get commissions off of them just like in any other network marketing program.

Now as to what I am NOT a fan of with Zeek Rewards and I will be completely honest to be as transparent as possible.

Zeek Rewards is so big and growing so fast that they are not very fast with customer support. A have written in a question or two and it literally takes a whole week to hear anything back.

Another thing I don’t like is that they are always having problems with their servers because of the massive traffic to their site so it can be hard to get logged in sometimes.

Finally, what I don’t like about Zeekler the most is that their user interface in the back office is ugly and sometimes confusing. They could really invest in making the user interface better and they need to incorporate Paypal into their processing system or give us something better than Alertpay to work with.

However, I see that they just partnered with NXPay so I will have to try that out to see if it is better than Alertpay.

Overall, they have a very good program that is flexible enough to suit the taste of anyone trying to make some money online either as their primary source of income or as a supplement source of income.
